FILMMAKING  WORKSHOP

Calling all Aspring Filmmakers

  • Location: Munich, Copenhagen or online.

In this hands-on filmmaking workshop, participants will explore the fundamentals of visual storytelling, from concept to execution. We begin by examining how ideas take shape through structure, pacing, and intention, guiding filmmakers to balance creativity with clarity. Through practical exercises, students learn how to frame compelling shots, manage visual flow, and build scenes that support the emotional core of a story.

As the workshop progresses, attention shifts to collaboration and technique. Participants experiment with camera movement, lighting choices, and sound design while working in small crews. Emphasis is placed on problem-solving on set, adapting to limitations, and making confident creative decisions under time constraints. By analyzing real-world scenarios, filmmakers gain insight into how each technical choice influences audience perception.

The final sessions focus on refining projects through editing and critique. Students assemble footage, shape narrative rhythm, and strengthen continuity while receiving guided feedback. By the end of the workshop, participants leave with a deeper understanding of the filmmaking process, practical skills they can apply immediately, and a completed short piece that reflects both technical growth and personal vision.
